It's an interesting time in pharmacy, but when was that ever not the case? Do you feel you know what's going on? Are you on top of who's going where, who's partnering with whom, whether a topic is the next big thing or just an empty buzzword?
There are no bigger consumers of intelligence (or, if you prefer, gossip) than the pharmaceutical industry. It's how you keep your edge. When I was starting out I got a big pat on the back from my board for deducing a competitor's plans from the sits vac column, based upon who they were looking to recruit. It not only got me a healthy bonus, but it immediately persuaded colleagues that I knew everything. Of course, I failed to deliver given those expectations.
With Pharmacy Management we have an intriguing tension. If you work with us, rest assured we will keep your secrets. But it's our business to gather and share insights about the NHS. PM Market Access is dedicated to being the provider of information you would have trouble sourcing for yourself. The thing is, we know a few people, but don't just take our word for it.
